The city of Davao is located in Mindanao Island and is also known as the “Durian Capital of the Philippines”. Besides durian, the city is also famed for its natural attractions.
Here’s a sample four-day itinerary that allows you to experience some of the best attractions in Davao.
Morning: Catch the morning flight and don’t forget to pre-book your meal! If you’re in the mood for something light, do try our new inflight snack, the onigiri (available in three flavours!).
Afternoon: Arrive at your hotel and freshen up before you head out to explore the city. Did we mention that you can also find one of the biggest shopping malls here in the Philippines? The SM Lanang Premier is a shopping haven that will surely satisfy any seasoned shopper.
Night: Make your way to the Roxas Night Market for some tasty street food. Don’t worry if you can’t make it on the first night as the night market operates all nights of the week.
Morning: It’s now time to go to the Island Garden City of Samal! It is the largest resort city in the country with beautiful beaches. You can find some of the best diving spots here which includes Coral Garden, Angel’s Cove and Tagbaobo “Giant Clam” Tour.
Afternoon: Take a breather while basking in the sun before you head to your next adventure.

Morning: Start your morning with a visit to Hagimit Falls, a pride of the Island Garden City of Samal.
Samal island is also home to the largest bat colony in the world! The Monfort Bat Sanctuary is where you will find a large colony of Rousette fruit bats, 2.3 million of them to be exact.
Afternoon: Philippines’ national bird is the Philippine eagle, which is endemic to Davao. Visitors can actually see these birds at the Philippine Eagle Center. The center is located at the foothill of Mt. Apo and popular tourist destination for those who want to learn more these critically endangered birds of prey.
Night: Make your last night in Davao memorable by joining a pub crawl!
Start the night with a visit to Huckleberry Southern Kitchen and Bar. It has a long bar that is overflowing with sprits and locally-infused rum. Beer lovers will feel right at home at 147 Beer Avenue with its wide range of local brews and international booze. If you’re looking for a laid-back environment then Primo Cafe & Grille is the place to go. And finally, complete the pub crawl by heading over to Stre3ts Urban Lifestyle Pub, an Irish pub that takes pride in introducing draft beer to Davao.
Morning: For a glimpse into the daily life of the locals, a visit to the Bankerohan Public Market is highly recommended. It is the biggest market in the city where you will be able to find fresh produce and plenty of durian! There are also many stalls here where you can enjoy an authentic Filipino breakfast.
