AirAsia has introduced a city transfer service from Macao International Airport to Gongbei Port and Hengqin Port in Zhuhai, China to provide guests in the Greater Bay Area a seamless travel experience to Southeast Asia via Macao.
The city transfer, in partnership with Air Link Express (Macao) Co Ltd, is a hassle-free travel service where guests can book their AirAsia flights together with bus transfer services between the airport and border ports for selected routes and schedules, without having to worry about queues or bus timings.
To book this service, guests may select ‘Zhuhai – Macao Border Gate (M1A)’ or ‘Zhuhai – Hengqin Port (M1B)’ as their origin or destination on airasia.com or the AirAsia mobile app. Options and prices of the flight plus city transfer package will then be shown on the website.
City transfer services may only be pre-booked at least 24 hours before your scheduled time of departure, and may be used within three days of your flight arrival into or departure from Macao.
AirAsia Hong Kong and Macao CEO Celia Lao said, “This new service is part of our commitment to introduce air travel for everyone with low fares and quality services. We are happy to provide it with our partner and I believe it can benefit our customers in Greater Bay Area in terms of cost and time savings.”
AirAsia now operates direct flights from Macao to Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Phuket, Krabi and Chiang Rai in Thailand, Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu (Sabah) in Malaysia and Manila, Cebu and Kalibo (Boracay) in the Philippines.
